High-definition SWIR camera developed by Quantum Imaging

Quantum Imaging at the 2018 AUSA convention in Washington, D.C., USA, introduced the QI-SWIR-HD10 camera. The new SWIR camera features a 1280 x 1024 format InGaAs detector with 10 x 10 µm pixel pitch, programmable on-chip features, read noise of less than 40 rms, and extended spectral range from 0.5 µm to 1,7 µm.

The QI-SWIR-HD10 has options for 16-bit Camera LinkTM and analog NTSC outputs and can run 30 or 60 fps depending on factory configuration. The camera's asynchronous laser pulse detection mode serves as a 2D sensor that can capture daytime/nighttime X-Y position of short duration laser pulses. The QI-SWIR-HD10 can also track multiple asynchronous spot events in the same FOV, independent of imaging. According to Quantum Imaging, the new QI-SWIR-HD10 is appropriate for semiconductor and solar cell production, enhanced vision, and persistent surveillance among other uses.
