JAI releases USB3 Vision 12.4 MPixel cameras
The newest cameras in JAI's Spark series, the SP-12401M-USB monochrome model and SP-12401C-USB color model are 12.4 MPixel cameras built around the Sony Pregius IMX304 CMOS image sensor that features 3.45 µm pixels and a noise rating of less than 2.5 e-. The SP-12401-USB camera can run 23.4 fps in 8-bit monochrome and raw Bayer at full resolution (4112 x 3008 monochrome, 4088 x 3000 color).
The new cameras are 44 x 44 x 44mm in size, have an 80 G shock rating, and a 10 G vibration rating. They are equipped with a standard USB3 Vision interface. A separate 12-pin connector can supply power and triggering.
The SP-12401C-USB model features 24 and 30-bit interpolation via a 5 x5 de-Bayering algorithm and a color enhancement function that can enhance the six primary and complementary colors up to twice their normal intensity. Both SP-12401-USB models feature single and multi-ROI functionality, an edge enhancement function, and support for C-mount lenses with a 1.1-inch optical format.
