Surf Finder, a surface inspection sensor from DeeDiim Sensors, is a new sensor that is reportedly capable of detecting defects regardless of surface texture and slope based on quantitative measurement. The 331 x 331 x 320 mm sensor is based on a 4 MPixel image sensor with a 27 µm pixel size that can achieve a frame rate of 80 fps, while also offering configurable dome lighting, and a field of view of 55 x 55 m2. An 8 MPixel image sensor with a 15 µm pixel size can also be installed into the Surf Finder. The sensor, according to the company, sets itself apart by being able to acquire reflectivity, roughness, and inclination data individually, while also being able to identify different surface characteristics.
