CCS Inc., a leading developer of LED lights for machine vision applications, will open and manage a testing room in Detroit, MI, USA on July 27, 2018, with an aim of further enhancing customer support in the United States.

CCS chose Detroit because it is the center for automobile manufacturing in the United States and is home to numerous assembly plants for automobile manufacturers, systems integrators, and manufacturers of production equipment for automobiles. Previously, CCS had been supporting customers in the United States through the CCS America headquarters in Burlington, MA, USA; as well as testing rooms in San Jose, CA, USA and El Paso, TX, USA. Strong customer demand, according to CCS, has led to the opening of the Detroit Testing Room, which will have one on-site employee.

CCS testing rooms feature LED lights and control units for machine vision applications, as well as many peripheral devices for imaging, including cameras and lenses, which are used to build an inspection environment. The rooms enable CCS to propose an optimal inspection environment for customers through experimentation that combines a variety of machine vision equipment and more than 20 years of knowledge and technologies.

With the move, CCS expands its international machine vision business to 14 locations.
