Color line scan camera from JAI is four times faster than previous models

Offering approximately four times the speed of previous 4K prism color line scan camera models, the SW-4000T-MCL prism color line scan camera from JAI is mounted on an optical prism assembly that precisely splits the incoming light into red, green, and blue wavebands.

Offering approximately four times the speed of previous 4K prism color line scan camera models, the SW-4000T-MCL prism color line scan camera from JAI is mounted on an optical prism assembly that precisely splits the incoming light into red, green, and blue wavebands. The camera is based on three 4096 x 1 line scan CMOS image sensors with a 7.5 μm pixel size and can provide 24-bit non-interpolated RGB output at up to 67.7 kHz (67,700 lines per second).

Additionally, each of the three CMOS sensors has two adjacent lines, which enables the camera to provide horizontal binning, vertical binning, or both. The sensor’s readout architecture combines the readout of two pixels through a single diffusion node to double the signal without increasing noise, enabling the binning process to dramatically increase sensitivity, according to JAI. The SW-4000T-MCL features a GenICam and Gen-CP-compliant Camera Link interface (Base, Medium, Full, or Deca configurations supported) with Mini CL connectors to output line data.
