USB 3.1 camera from FLIR features third generation Sony Pregius image sensor
New to the Blackfly S series of industrial cameras is the BFS-U3-70S7M/C-C (monochrome and color version), which features a third-generation Sony Pregius image sensor. The camera is based on Sony’s IMX428 Pregius sensor, which is a 7.1 MPixel global shutter CMOS image sensor with a 4.5 µm pixel size that can achieve a frame rate of 50 fps.
With the new sensor, the camera features increased quantum efficiency, saturation capacity, and dynamic range compared to second generation Pregius sensors. Additionally, a new case design supports the 1.1” sensor while maintaining the same 29 x 29 mm footprint. On-camera image processing features include region of interest mode, binning, auto exposure controls, and color transformation tools.
