Ensenso X 3D cameras from IDS Imaging Development Systems are now available with two IMX264 sensors from Sony.

Ensenso X 3D cameras from IDS Imaging Development Systems are now available with two IMX264 sensors from Sony. The IMX264 is a 5 MPixel global shutter CMOS image sensor with a 3.45 µm pixel size and with the larger field of view of these sensors, suggests IDS, the distance between the 3D camera system and object can be reduced. The Ensenso X 3D camera system—the recipient of a 2018 Gold-Level Innovators Award—consists of a 100-watt projector to which two industrial GigE cameras can be mounted at variable distances. With the new Ensenso X models, wrote IDS, users can choose between compact GigE uEye CP cameras and robust GigE uEye FA cameras with IP65/67 protection class. In addition to the newly-available models with 5 MPixel sensors, an updated software development kit is also now available.
