Designed for use in machine vision applications, the S990 high-speed streaming camerafrom Vision Research offers direct data transfer speeds up to 9 Gpx/second to capture 938 fps at full 4096 x 2304 resolution. The camera features a 9.4 MPixel CMOS image sensor in color or monochrome with a 6.75 µm pixel size, 12-bit or 8-bit data transfer, and rolling, global, and bright field shutter selection. Using up to 16 standard CoaXPress (CXP6) channels, the S990 is compliant with GenICam and streams directly into PCI Express frame grabbers while also featuring a general-purpose input/output (GPIO) for fast, flexible signaling and synchronization, according to the company.
