CMOS image sensor offers low light sensitivity and high contrast image capture
ON Semiconductor’s new AR0221 CMOS image sensor is a1/1.7-inch 2.1 MPixel sensor with the company’s newly-developed 4.2 µm backside-illuminated pixels. Targeting video surveillance and high dynamic range imaging applications, the AR0221 sensor offers 3-exposure line-interleaved high dynamic range (HDR), supporting frame rates of 1080p at 30 fps. The RGB Bayer color sensor features a 16:9 ratio and dual data interfaces in the form of 4-lane MIPI CSI-2 and HiSPi SLVS. Additionally, the sensor offers an operating temperature range of -22°F to 185°F (30°C and 85°C) and is programmable through a two-wire serial interface.
