Specim Launches Macro Lens for Hyperspectral Camera

June 26, 2024
Lens helps capture details on small objects.

Specim has released a new macro lens with an F-number of 4 for the Specim FX10 hyperspectral camera. With this new lens, the camera will focus on small objects and capture details in the visible and near-infrared (VNIR) regions.

The lens is designed for applications that need accurate sampling of approximately 10 µm at the target. This level of detail is useful for analyzing biological samples, the surface texture of materials, and identifying small defects.

The lens was designed and tested in-house at Specim.

The Specim FX10 camera operates in the 400-1000 nm region.
