Excelitas Technologies Launches Two New Double Shutter Cameras

Cameras designed for high-speed, detailed imaging tasks, including inspection applications.

Excelitas Technologies recently launched two new double shutter camera models, the pco.edge 5.5 DS CLHS and the pco.edge 26 DS CLHS. Both cameras are equipped with a sCMOS global double shutter and 10G fiber optic CLHS FOL data interface and both have C-mount lens mount as well as F-mount and TFL-mount options.

The pco.edge 5.5 DS CLHS, available in color or monochrome, has 2560 x 2160 resolution with 21.8 mm sensor diagonal, 6.5 x 6.5 μm pixel size, and 893 MPixel maximum pixel rate. It has an interframing time of 100 ns and 100 fps frame rate. It has a 79.5 x 70 x 122.5 mm footprint and weighs 850 g (air cooled) or 1060 g (water cooled), and has an operating temperature range of 10°C to 40°C.

The pco.edge 27 DS CLHS, available in monochrome, has 5120 x 5120 resolution with 18.1 mm sensor diagonal, 2.5 x 2.5 μm pixel size, 350 ns interframing time, and 74 fps framerate. It has a spectral range of 320 – 1000 nm and a dynamic range of 61.4 dB.

It has a 95 x 90 x 109 mm footprint, weighs 970 g, and has an operating temperature range of 10°C to 40°C.

These cameras are especially designed for machine vision and imaging tasks that require exceptionally high speed and detail, including wafer, photovoltaic, tunnel, and industrial inspection applications, high throughput screening, and high speed bright-field ratio imaging.
