TPL Vision has launched a new dark field accessory designed for use with TPL’s LED Modular Ringlight.
The LED Modular Ringlight can provide such machine vision lighting functions as dark field, bright field, dome, and low angle lighting. It comes standard with embedded overdrive and remote-control capability for selecting colors and quadrants.
The new MR-Dark Field is TPL’s bi-color LED Modular Ringlight—available in two sets of colors and two dimensions—and a dark field reflector. Designed for harsh environments, it is rated IP65 and has an operating temperature range of -10°C to 40°C and can operate in up to 80% humidity without condensation.
This lighting source is especially designed for use in such machine vision applications as surface inspection on shiny, or high reflective surfaces, defect detection in automative or semiconductor manufacturing, and edge detection, creating high contrast and helping algorithms identify the boundaries of objects being inspected.
