e-con Systems Launches New Low Light HDR Camera

e-con Systems recently launched a new high dynamic range, low light USB camera, the SEE3Cam_CU31. The camera has a USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface and  is equipped with a Sony ISX031 color CMOS rolling shutter sensor. It has 3 MPixel, 1920 x 1536 resolution with 3 µm x 3µm pixel size and a framerate of 30 fps. It has a 120 dB dynamic range.

Supported UVS controls include brightness, contrast, saturation, sharpness, gain, and exposure (auto and manual). HID controls include orientation, trigger modes, RAW noise reduction, auto exposure convergence speed, auto xxposure hold, white balance hold, read temperature, anti-flicker modes, and enhancement modes.

The camera supports Windows 10/11 and Linux operating systems.

The camera comes standard with a M12 lens holder for use with customized optics or lenses for various applications. With enclosure included, it has a 35.30 x 35.30 x 29 mm footprint; without enclosure it has a 30 x 30 x 30.2 mm footprint. With enclosure, the operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C; without enclosure the operating temperature is -40°C to 70°C.

The camera is especially designed for a variety of machine vision tasks, including autonomous mobile robots, autonomous agriculture and smart farming, smart traffic, and life sciences applications.
