Teledyne DALSA Launches New Smart Camera Line

AI powered smart camera designed for wide array of complex machine vision applications, such as inspections.

Teledyne DALSA has launched a new AI-powered smart camera line, the BOA3. There are currently three models in production. Each camera is a monochrome CMOS area scan camera equipped with a global shutter. They currently come in 1280 x 960 (1.2 MPixel), 2560 x 1936 (5MPixel), and 4096 x 3072 (12 MPixel) resolution and can achieve frame rates  of 50, 35, and 13 fps respectively. The cameras have CPU 1.6 Quad Core 4GB processors and can run AI inspection models on-camera.

Each camera comes standard with C-mount lens options. Built for harsh environments, the cameras  are rated IP67 and operate in temperatures of -10°C to 50°C. The cameras are especially designed for complex machine vision applications, such as inspections.
