IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH is launching a new addition to its uEye XCP camera line. Soon to go into series production, this latest USB3 camera model comes in monochrome and color versions and will feature the IMX636 event-based CMOS global shutter sensor developed by Sony and Prophesee. Designed to capture only relevant scenes rather than delivering a continuous stream of data, it reacts to relevant changes in a given scene for each individual pixel while simultaneously ignoring motionless data.
The camera, which has a 29 x 29 17 mm footprint and comes with a C-mount lens mount option, is designed for machine vision tasks, especially those performed in limited spaces, including inspections and factory automation applications.
