Jan. 9, 2025

Euresys recently launched a new CoaXPress CXP-12 to CoaXPress-over Fiber Converter. This stand-alone device is designed to not only allow the user to easily extend cable length—it can reach a maximum cable length of 150 m/40 km over multimode/single mode fibers, but also allow connecting a CXP-12 camera to a Quad Small  Form-factor Pluggable port frame grabber. With up to 5 Mbps bandwidth, four CXP-12 connectors, and one enhanced QSFP+ port, the converter can accommodate up to four cameras, including line and area scan cameras.

The converter is air cooled with a fan-cooled heatsink and  comes standard in a desk-top mounted aluminum housing. It has a 112 x 55mm footprint and weighs 930 g.

This converter is especially designed for machine vision applications that use high speed, high resolution cameras requiring high bandwidth.
