JANUARY 20, 2009--Imatest (Boulder, CO, USA; www.imatest.com), a provider of digital image quality testing software, and Aptina (San Jose, CA, USA; www.aptina.com, a provider of CMOS image sensors, have partnered to deliver an integrated software system that enables rapid, automatic testing of CMOS sensor image quality and subsequent reconfiguration of image sensor settings.

According to the companies, DevWare-enabled Imatest loads images directly from Aptina's image sensor configuration software, DevWare. Images are then automatically analyzed across various digital image quality factors, providing product engineers with the information required to re-set sensor settings.

"The release of DevWare-enabled Imatest dramatically speeds the process of configuring Aptina's CMOS image sensors and offers tremendous value to our customers," says Shari Vedovato, director of system engineering at Aptina.

Says Randy Bockrath, CEO of Imatest, "By integrating DevWare with Imatest, we hope to reduce the time required for sensor configuration by an order of magnitude."
