The pilot GigE series has been expanded with new models equipped with Kodak's dual tap KAI-01020 CCD sensor. The monochrome and color pilot models can capture 60 frames/s at full 1-Mpixel resolution. Sensor tap balancing enables high image quality. The cameras are equipped with a Gigabit Ethernet interface (compliant with the GigE Vision standard), enabling them to act as a substitute for more expensive Camera Link cameras and frame grabbers. The series offers additional software features that can be integrated into the image-processing software on a remote computer. Basler Components

Basler Launches One Megapixel pilot Models with 60 Frames per Second Speed
Ahrensburg - Basler is expanding its successful pilot GigE series with new models that are equipped with Kodak’s dual tap KAI-01020 CCD sensor.
The new monochrome and color pilot models can capture 60 frames per second at full one megapixel resolution. The 60 frames per second rate is a key requirement for allowing increased throughput in the factory automation market. In intelligent traffic applications and semiconductor and electronics manufacturing, the 60 fps rate is also a significant advantage. Thanks to Basler’s extensive experience with Kodak sensor tap balancing, users of the new models will see the same brilliant image quality they are used to from the established pilot camera models.
“Basler continuously strengthens our camera portfolio by launching new models with, for example, higher speed or richer features,” explains Werner Borchert, Product Manager at Basler Components. “Customers benefit from these ongoing developments and can be sure that they are always purchasing state of the art products.”
The new models are already in series production and are available in our standard delivery time.
The Basler pilot camera family is based on four selected Kodak CCD sensors and one Sony CCD sensor for exceptional image quality. Equipped with a Gigabit Ethernet interface (compliant with the GigE Vision standard), these cameras take maximum advantage of the Kodak sensor technology and can often substitute for more costly Camera Link cameras and frame grabbers. For more flexibility, this series offers additional software features that can be integrated into the image processing software on a remote computer.
