Gpixel Launches Addition to Global Shutter Sensor Series

July 16, 2024
Sensor designed for high-speed imaging applications, including in UV and NIR wavelengths.

Gpixel recently launched the GSPRINT6502BSI, the fourth, and newest addition to Gpixel’s GSPRINT series of high-speed global shutter sensors.

This monochrome CMOS sensor, especially designed for 3D laser profilers, is the first in this series to use backside illumination technology. It is sensitive to light across a wide spectrum, including NIR and UV wavelengths. It features 2048 x 1152, 2 MPixel resolution, with square 6.5 µm pixels. The sensor provides 1,500 fps frame rate; for applications in which maximum frame rate is not required, multiplexing modes are available to reduce the number of output channels by any multiple of 2. Up to eight vertical regions of interest can be defined to operate the sensor at increased frame rates. It is compatible with 1 in optical format. It has a full well capacity of 20.0 ke and a 57 dB dynamic range.

The GSPRINT6502BSI sensor features in-chip sequencer, SPI control, PLL, and analog and digital temperasture sensors. It is designed especially for such applications as automation, inspection, life sciences, and high-speed imaging.
