Sony Launches New CMOS Sensor

Sensor designed for machine vision applications, such as inspections, performed in compact spaces.

Sony Semiconductor Solutions has  launched a new industrial image sensor, the IMX925. This backlit CMOS global shutter sensor has 4128 x 3008, 24.55 MPixel resolution, 2.74 µm pixel size, and 394 fps frame rate.  With a 24.5 x 21.4 mm C-mount compatible footprint, the sensor can be used in compact, high-definition machine vision cameras. These sensors are especially designed for machine vision tasks such as 2D and  3D automated inspections, sports technology imaging, and automation applications.
