Basler Launches New Cameras to SWIR Line

Cameras, especially designed for smaller spaces, perform variety of SWIR vision tasks such as food inspection.

Basler recently added four new high-resolution area scan cameras, including the a2A2048-110 µm SWIR, a2A2560-70µm SWIR, which has 5.2 MPixel, 2560 x 2048 resolution and is equipped with Sony IMX992 SWIR global shutter sensor with 1/1.4 sensor format. The camera provides  70 fps frame rate, and comes with USB 3.0 interface. The camera can capture images in the visible and short-wave infrared spectrum, from .4 to 1.7µm and features Basler’s Pixel Correction Beyond technology, which detects and corrects pixel defects in real time, on the camera itself, without distorting the image.

The a2A2560-70µm SWIR camera has a  42.8 x 29 x 29 mm footprint, weigh 90 g, and has a C-mount lens mount. It has an operating temperature range of -10° to 60°C and does not require cooling. The camera is especially designed for a wide array of machine  vision SWIR applications such as food inspection.
