3D scanners reverse engineer turbine for engineering firm

A major turbomachinery engineering firm in Texas contacted NVision to produce the proper CAD modles needed to redesign a more energy-efficient turbine for its plant. NVision’s technicians went directly to the firm’s site and used HandHeld 3D laser scanners to measure the parts’ geometry to produce the necessary files, which made it possible for the company to perform simulations to optimize the turbine’s design, which substantially improved its energy efficiency. >>>Read more.
