Recreating the carbon freezing scene from Star Wars

Star Wars buffs will recall the scene in The Empire Strikes Back when Han Solo was put into a carbon-freezing chamber by Darth Vader. Recently, Disney’s Hollywood Studios offered the opportunity for the truly devoted to recreate that famous scene.

Using 3D imaging technology, the “Carbon-Freeze Me” experience captures multiple angles of your face and uses the images to create an eight-inch figurine of “you” frozen in carbon. Check out the video to see the 3D imaging technology in action.
