Richmond Hill, ON. – iENSO (www.ienso.com), the embedded vision collaboration partner for major international brands, has named Vlad Kardashov as its new Vice-President of Engineering, in a move expected to push to the future of the Edge network.
“We are adding critical talent to iENSO’s executive team to lead both our software and hardware R&D organizations and accelerate our product development efforts for the network edge,” said iENSO President Sebastien Dignard.
With Kardashov assuming the role Vice-President of Engineering, Michael Liwak, co-founder of iENSO who formerly held this position, takes on the new role of Chief Products Officer.
“Vlad has tremendous experience in developing new Vision and Edge AI products and solutions for industry leaders such as FLIR and Lorex,” Dignard added. “His extensive experience in the security and IoT industries aligns well with our efforts to expand our presence in all markets looking to embed vision into their applications.”
“I have been impressed with iENSO’s technology, culture, market position, and the capabilities of its technical team,” Kardashov said. “I am happy to join the company at such an exciting time and look forward to contributing to the ongoing development of Embedded Vision and Edge AI computing systems.”
Prior to joining iENSO, Kardashov served for four years as vice-president of engineering at FLIR Systems, the world’s largest company specializing in the design and production of imaging cameras, components and thermal imaging sensors for the defence, security, industrial and commercial markets. Kardashov managed large-scale, worldwide-distributed product development and engineering teams through the development cycle of a product, from inception to the final deployment.
“Vlad’s experience makes him the ideal choice to lead the next phase of growth for iENSO as customer needs in a host of market verticals increasingly meet at the crossroads of Embedded Vision and Edge AI,” said Dignard.
Before moving to FLIR, Kardashov was director, engineering and product development at Lorex for four years. He has also held the position of vice-president of technology at Emblaze Mobile, a design house for cutting-edge mobile technology.
