Radiant to Exhibit and Present on Rx Vision Compensation for XR Devices at SPIE ARVRMR
REDMOND, Wash. – January 16, 2025 – Radiant Vision Systems, a leading provider of test and measurement solutions in display metrology, announces that it will exhibit and lead a technical presentation at the SPIE ARVRMR Exhibition. The event takes place at Moscone West in San Francisco on January 28 and 29, 2025. Radiant will exhibit solutions for evaluating the visual quality of AR, VR, and MR displays from booth 6212 in Moscone Center West and will present on the quality challenges of prescription lensing for AR/MR devices on Monday, January 27, beginning at 1:20 PM local time.
Erin Brown, a Test Engineer with Radiant, will lead the company’s presentation to discuss different metrology approaches currently being applied, including mechanical methods such as reverse compensation optics and software algorithms to compensate for prescription power. Focusing on a novel, patent-pending metrology solution, and presenting research results of testing various methods. Brown will also review suggested metrology focus range requirements and discuss the advantage of using diopters as a core unit of measurement. Brown will provide examples from Radiant’s test and measurement technology and present considerations for quality challenges of prescription lensing for AR/MR devices with an opportunity for audience questions following the presentation.
SPIE is the International Society for Optics and Photonics, bringing engineers, scientists, students, and business professionals together to advance light-based science and technology. The SPIE ARVRMR exhibit is the premier event for AR, VR, and MR hardware development and takes place alongside SPIE Photonics West. Researchers and engineers, investors and entrepreneurs, customers and suppliers meet to create the future of augmented, virtual, and mixed reality, making San Francisco a destination for the entire optics and photonics industry to gather, exchange innovative ideas, and do business in one convenient location. As a leading display measurement provider, Radiant Vision Systems participates in SPIE ARVRMR each year to support growth in the industry as well as advocate accuracy and efficiency in visual inspection systems for ARVRMR displays. Applying photometric imaging solutions and application-specific software test suites, Radiant addresses unique visual quality parameters of emerging display technology to achieve visual performance that is driven by the quality expectations of today’s consumers.
Throughout the event, Radiant will also demonstrate its solutions for ARVRMR display testing from booth 6212 as part of the SPIE ARVRMR exhibition. Members of Radiant’s team will be on-site to discuss specific project challenges as well as showcase the company’s ProMetric® imaging systems and software in example applications.
