Machine Vision Ethernet/IP Video Recorder Creates Shareable Files for Collaborative Problem Solving
Boca Raton, Florida, October 2017
IMPERX, Inc., a leading global designer and manufacturer of high quality industrial cameras and imaging systems, demonstrates its 2nd generation Ethernet/IP™ Process Video Recorder (EIPVR™) at the Rockwell Automation Fair in Houston Texas, Booth #1448, November 14, 2017.
In a manufacturing production line where hundreds of parts move at high speeds and precision timing, a single fault or jam can cause downtime with huge costs and lost production. In situations where the fault occurs intermittently or where the fault itself destroys all evidence of the cause, you need an easy to use, high speed recording system.
The remarkable IMPERX EIPVR high-speed Process Video Recorder provides the solution. The IMPERX EIPVR is designed and manufactured for speed, reliability, and ease of implementation in demanding production environments. It provides a complete system designed to collect and preserve only the evidence related to the fault and to empower you to quickly and easily share the data with experts worldwide to rapidly return to production.
The Process Video Recorder integrates seamlessly with your Rockwell Automation programmable logic controller (PLC) and captures slow motion video to help you reduce down-time and eliminate guess-work by allowing process experts worldwide to view AVI-MPEG4 videos showing events leading up to and after a process failure in slow motion.
The EIPVR connects with up to four ruggedized, Power over Ethernet (PoE) cameras and records video up to 250 frames per second. When the PLC detects a fault, alarm, jam, or other PLC trigger event, the system automatically captures the fault, generates a 60-second AVI or MPEG-4 video file showing 30 seconds before the fault and 30 seconds after the fault, and loads it onto a mapped network drive. An easy-to-use, browser-based graphical user interface provides immediate access to the files at variable playback speeds with the ability to add bookmarks and user notes.
Several IMPERX representatives with machine vision experience look forward to hearing more about your vision needs. Be sure to stop by and see the color EIPVR system in action at IMPERX Booth #1448
