A&B Software Licenses GigE Vision and USB3 Vision Drivers to Intel
New London, CT – A&B Software announced today that it has entered into a worldwide license and support agreement with Intel to provide GigE Vision and USB3 Vision interfaces for Intel® Movidius™ Myriad™ 2 vision processing units (VPUs), Intel® Movidius™ Myriad™ X VPUs and follow-on generations of video processing chips.
Intel Movidius VPUs are utilized in the most ambitious artificial intelligence, vision and imaging applications at the edge, and can be found in millions of devices on the market today. A&B Software’s hardware-independent software development kits (SDKs) offer universal programmatic access to GigE Vision and USB3 Vision cameras in various programming environments, and have been utilized by developers and end users around the world.
The adaptation of A&B Software’s drivers will allow Intel to complement its machine vision platforms with an out-of-the box interface to numerous industrial and scientific camera brands.
