AAEON releases new compact embedded computer designed for AI support

June 21, 2019

The new BOXER-8150AI compact embedded computer from AAEON is powered by the NVIDIA Jetson TX2, which provides 6 processing cores by pairing a Dual Denver 2 and Quad ARM 57 processor into a single system-on-chip. The new computer also features 8 GB LPDDR4 memory and 32 GB eMMC storage onboard.

Eight USB 3.0 ports are controlled by four USB chips - two ports per chip - which allows each chip to handle less data traffic, improving bandwidth from connected devices and maximizing processing speeds and framerates, according to the manufacturer.

The BOXER-8150AI also features a COM port, two antenna ports, GigE interface, two HDMI 2.0 ports, SD card slot, USB OTG, and remote ON/OFF. The operating temperature range is -20° to 50° C, with an input power range of 10 to 24 VDC.
