Jetson AGX Xavier module designed for industrial applications

June 15, 2021
The new System-on-Module offers robust shock and vibration protection and wide operating temperature range.

The Jetson AGX Xavier industrial module is engineered for embedded applications in rugged environments, offering 50G shock and 340G vibration protection, and operating temperature of -40 to 85° C. Error correction codes, single and double error correction and parity protection for RAM resilience, and other reliability features are designed to provide stable performance.

Components include 512-core NVIDIA Volta GPU with 64 Tensor Cores, two NVIDIA deep learning accelerators, two vision accelerators, an eight-core NVIDIA Carmel Arm CPU, and an encoder and decoder. A Safety Cluster Engine (SGE) includes dual Arm Cortex-R5 processors for fault-detection mechanisms and built-in system tests among other potential uses.

The module will be available in late July.
