From October 12-13, embedded vision hardware and softwaredevelopers from around the globe will gather at ICS International Congress Center in Stuttgart, Germany to discuss and learn about the latest in embedded vision technology.

The European Machine Vision Association (EMVA) and the team that hosts VISIONevery other year have collaborated to produce the first European conference on embedded vision in an effort to highlight the capabilities of hardware and software platforms, to present applications and markets, and to create a platform for the exchange of information relating to embedded vision.

"We have increasingly observed in recent months how important the 'embedded' issue has become," said Florian Niethammer, team leader of VISION, the world’s leading trade fair for machine vision. "We are dealing with an overarching technology here, which is of significant relevance in industrial as well as in non-industrial sectors. It is a logical step to organize a conference for developers and users of embedded vision systems together with our long-standing partner, the European Machine Vision Association. The topic is booming, which is why we are creating a professional platform with a strong partner."

Speakers from various backgrounds are set to present at the conference on topics including deep learning, computer vision, machine vision, embedded vision architectures, and machine learning. These speakers include representatives from companies such as Intel Corporation, AMD, Allied Vision, MathWorks, Xilinx, Adimec, Silicon Software, videantis, AMS Group, Cognex, and NET New Electronic Technology.

In addition to the presentations, there will be special table-top exhibition as well as numerous networking opportunities.
