Active Silicon Launches New Line of Machine Vision Computers

Embedded vision systems designed for machine vision applications in challenging environments.

 Active Silicon recently launched a new line of machine vision computers, the Oncilla industrial computer line. There are currently three options, the Oncilla  Machine Vision Computer— CoaXPress, Oncilla Machine Vision Computer—CameraLink, and  Oncilla Machine Vision Computer—Mini. All three feature Intel Alder Lake processors, 16 GB DDR5 SDRAM memory, and multiple expansion and I/O options.

The CoaXPress and CameraLink models have GenICam compliant Firebird frame grabbers, which support high speed, high resolution cameras. They include a licensed for Active SDK, which include example applications and optimized libriaries, as well as Active Silicon’s pre-installed ActiveCapture tool for camera and frame grabber control,

The Mini, which has a 150 x 105 x 52.3 mm footprint and weighs 810g, supports GigE and USB3 transmission. It supports Windows 10/11 and Linux OS, and is built to MIL-STD-810H shock and vibration standard.

These computers are designed for machine vision applications that are performed in challenging, harsh environments especially in industrial, automation, medical and defense sectors.
