Cognex Launches New Embedded Vision System

System designed for machine vision applications such as automated inspections, performed by OEMs in highly regulated industries.

Cognex has  launched a new AI-powered embedded vision system, the In-Sight 8900. The system is available in 8 and 24-bit HDR+ color and monochrome options. Featuring multiple resolution options, it is equipped with a CMOS global shutter sensor and can achieve resolution up to 4096 x 3000, frame rate of up to 142 fps, and a shutter speed of up to 29.1 to 200,000us. It has  a die cast aluminum and zinc housing, C-mount lens mount, and is rated IP40.

The In-Sight 8900 is designed for use by OEM’s in highly regulated industries to perform a variety of machine vision applications such as automated inspections.
