Sharc board delivers 1.92 FLOPs/slot A COTS VME 6U board, the IXZ16, incorporates four clusters of four Sharc DSP devices to generate up to 1.92 GFLOPS/slot. Each of the 16 Sharc processors runs at up to 120 MFLOPS and works with up to 4 Mbits of SRAM. Dual ports support internal DMA engines that concurrently drive the six 40-Mbit/s link-ports and a 160-Mbit/s parallel bus. Each cluster of four Sharc processors fits into a single multichip module that withstands harsh environments. Price is $48
