MAY 13--Automated Concepts Inc. (ACI; www.automatedconcepts.com), a robotic-systems integrator, has built and moved into a new 65,000-sq ft facility in Council Bluffs, IA, that provides more than 60% more space in which to design, manufacture, and program complete turnkey robotic applications. Brian Turner, special services manager of ACI, commented that "the last three quarters have shown that the market is growing. We are ahead of our previous years' sales and we see that trend continuing. As a result of our current growth, ACI made the commitment to expand its manufacturing facilities to streamline the operations associated with producing robotic cells for our customers." Automated Concepts' new facility provides more room for building customer systems and a more efficient workflow.

Since 1983, Automated Concepts has designed and installed more than 2000 robotic systems including those for machine loading, palletizing, welding, and assembly. ACI is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sierra Concepts Inc.--a provider of automated industrial equipment and engineered system to metal-cutting and metal-forming manufacturers.
