Keyence introduces SR-1000 series of 1D and 2D code readers
SR-1000 1D and 2D code readers from Keyence can be installed anywhere within 1,000 mm of a target and are unaffected by glare from metallic and reflective surfaces. The autofocus code readers are available in two models: The standard SR-1000 and the wide-field SR-1000W (257 × 206 mm field of view, compared to 122 × 97 mm). Both readers feature a 1.3 MPixel CMOS image sensor with green and red LEDs. Supported symbols include 2D QR and DataMatrix codes and barcodes. The readers also feature a contrast algorithm for local concentration, which divides a code into smaller pieces to perform binary processing using thresholds specified for each division. In addition, the SR-1000 code readers come with software for set up and control functions such as setting the image capture range, enabling/disabling the polarization filter, and specifying the number of codes to read simultaneously.
