With a maximum speed after acceleration of 480 deg/sec in the robot’s waist, elbow, hand and wrist, the ST R17HS five-axis vertically articulated robot arm from ST Robotics features a speed that is significantly faster than the previous R17 robot model. The ST R17HS features brushless servomotors, an effective reach of 750 mm, repeatability of 0.2 mm, and a maximum payload of 4.4 lbs. Included with the robot is the K11R controller, RoboForth II software, a teach pad, easy interfacing with other equipment, and a two-year warranty. Additionally, the robot’s options include pneumatic, electric and vacuum grippers, and expandable I/O.
