Robotic Vision Systems Inc. (Hauppauge, NY) has picked Curtis Howes as vice president to develop two-dimensional barcode and symbology products for the auto-identification market. Bringing 20 years of experience to his position, Howes previously served as general manager of the Imaging Systems Division of Intermec Corp. (Everett, WA), where he directed the development of CCD-based products and camera-based technology for width-modulated, height-modulated, stacked, and matrix symbologies. Howes holds an M.S. degree in information systems from the Naval Post Graduate School, an M.S. degree in systems management from the University of Southern California, and a B.A. degree in business administration from the University of Washington.
