GE4900 16-Mpixel camera runs at 3 frames/s at 4872 × 3248-pixel resolution over a GigE Vision-compliant Gigabit Ethernet interface. The camera incorporates a Kodak KAI-16000 progressive-scan CCD sensor with electronic global shutter for capturing high-speed motion events. Exposure times are programmable from 1/100,000 s to 60 s. The GE4900 offers advanced functionality including asynchronous external trigger and sync, automatic exposure and white-balance, region of interest read-out, and binning modes to 8 × 8. Available in either monochrome or color, the GE4900 provides uncompressed digital output in Mono8, Mono16, Bayer8, or Bayer16 image formats.

Frame grabber has four CVBS inputs

FALCONplus, a frame grabber with a x1 PCI Express interface, features four CVBS inputs for connecting color or monochrome cameras (PAL, NTSC, or SECAM), as well as one CVBS output. The 12 digital inputs and 8 digital outputs allow connection of external sensors such as photosensors or motion detectors. In addition, 24-V voltage levels can be switched using optocoupler I/Os. The frame grabber comes with an SDK for all current Windows operating systems, as well as Linux. A TWAIN driver, an ActiveX component, and a DirectShow driver are also available.

Device converts microscope

MicroPhase from PhaseView is a 3-D topography device based on digital phase technology for surface characterization and 3-D measurements such as profiles, heights, roughness, and waviness parameters. Digital progressive-scan CCD cameras-CM-140 MCL, CB-140 MCL, CM-200 MCL, and CB-200 MCL-are digital Mini Camera Link (Mini-CL) versions of the company’s analog CV-A1 and CV-A2 cameras. By implementing the Mini-CL interface standard, the camera housing is kept at 29 x 44 x 66 mm. This means that machine-vision systems using analog cameras can switch (drop-in replacements) to Mini-CL. With 1.45-Mpixel resolution, the CM-140 MCL/CB-140 MCL cameras operate at a maximum of 31 frames/s, while the CM-200 MCL/CB-200 MCL have 2-Mpixel resolution and operate at maximum of 25 frames/s. Both monochrome and Bayer mosaic color versions are available.
