System inspects randomly oriented cylinders
OmniView uses four cameras to obtain a 360˚ view of all features on surface of a cylinder. It can read barcodes, verify text, inspect graphics, and measure features at production line speeds up to 1200 parts per minute. It uses images from multiple cameras to create one seamless and undistorted image of any cylindrical surface. OmniView can detect damaged products, check for date-code presence, and confirm package and product match.

Device tracks multiple images
VILGA is an advanced video-tracking and image-processing package that tracks from multiple video sources installed in the optical payload. It provides electronic stabilization of images from external sensors. Targets are highlighted and overlaid on-screen during tracking. Selecting and engaging a target in tracking mode is done with a hand-grip controller. Once engaged the video tracker will drive the turret to the target. The VILGA card offers a picture-in-picture mode, where two sensors can be displayed on a single display.

Simulator mimics Camera Link cameras
PROC_CamSim automatically generates Camera Link images without the use of real cameras. The system consists of the CamSim host-based software application, an FPGA board, and Camera Link driver daughter board. It simulates the behavior of any Camera Link camera; outputs 1- to 8-pixel channels simultaneously at 70- to 85-MHz pixel clock; and supports continuous linescan mode. The GUI-based CamSim software configures all the simulation parameters, including timing and resolution and Camera Link channel structure.

Video capture board has four inputs
Designed for video-surveillance applications, the Picolo Diligent Plus is a PCI Express video capture board offering simultaneous full D1 compressed and uncompressed streams on four video inputs. The acquisition rate is 100/120 frame/s or 200/240 field/s PAL/NTSC. An FPGA manages a large memory buffer. This frame store guarantees, independent of FIFO buffers overflows or PCI latencies, the transfer of complete and reliable images. In addition, the FPGA performs on-the-fly data processing: scaling, cropping, contrast, brightness, saturation, color conversion, and storage format.
