It offers a high-speed FIFO channel for sending and receiving commands and a DMA channel that places records into PC memory and furnishes instant access to status and parameters. Fast servo-update rates are obtained by using sample times as low as 62.5 (us/axis, quick command processing, and encoder speeds to 12 million counts/s for servos and 3 million steps/s for steppers. Other features include a 2-Mbyte flash EEPROM, 16-bit motor-command output DAC, PID filter, and Windows 3.X/95/NT and DOS drivers.
