A spin-off of the Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence Laboratory at the University of Waterloo in Canada, Virtek Vision (Waterloo, Ont., Canada) produces laser-projection and machine-vision products for a variety of applications. These applications eliminate the need for templates to identify the location of outlines in the composite manufacturing process and systems for automatic leather scanning and cutting.
