Sony and Tordivel marketing joint venture

FEBRUARY 22--Sony and Tordivel (Oslo, Norway) will together promote and market a machine-vision starter kit in Europe consisting of a Sony XCD 710 camera, the Scorpion Vision Software Enterprise edition, and a two-day introduction course. This bundle will give end users and system integrators an efficient and unique starting point to digital machine vision

Scorpion Vision Software is an open and independent machine-vision system tool. The system gives production engineers the ease of use of a vision sensor and the flexibility and power of a custom vision PC system. The system is founded on top of a standard Windows 2000/XP PC platform benefiting from the ever-increasing processing power of Intel processors and low cost--high-quality FireWire cameras.

Tordivel's business areas are development and global distribution and support of Scorpion Vision Software, cost-effective vision solutions in Norway and Sweden, and development of low cost OEM vision solutions.
