CX series industrial cameras from Baumer (A Platinum award recipient in the 2016 Innovators Awards) are designed specifically to handle applications in the assembly industry. The cameras are available in both GigE and USB 3.0 with sensor sizes ranging from VGA to 5 MPixel. Sensors used in the CX series include the PYTHON300, PYTHON1300, PYTHON2000, and PYTHON5000 from ON Semiconductor, as well as the IMX249, IMX174, IMX252, IMX265, IMX250, and IMX265 from Sony. The GigE models with Burst Mode enable higher frame rates than provided by the interface bandwidth, with frame rates reaching up to 595 fps. Additionally, the cameras measure only 29 x 29 mm and feature integrated image memory to ensure synchronized process control for long-term stable image evaluation.
