UV telecentric lenses provide high image contrast

SEPTEMBER 29, 2008--TC UV SERIES telecentric lenses operate in the 365/425-nm range, providing higher image contrast than common telecentric optics that operate in the visible light range. They are compatible with very small pixel sizes, with high resolution that allows them to tolerate object displacements (field depth) larger than VIS lenses before any image defocusing becomes evident. With UV lenses at 340 lp/mm contrast information is still theoretically present and pixels as small as 1.5 µm can bear significant image information.
