LumeDEL LLC recently launched a new LED source, the NewDEL Model X4010. This light source is a fully integrated fiber-coupled source that can be operated manually or remotely. It uses its own driver and microcontroller. It is programmable and can be operated with a Windows based GUI. It weighs .5 kg and has a footprint of 119.1 x 115.1 x 51.6 mm. It utilizes a phosphor-coated blue LED to provide a 400 to 1000 nm spectrum, and its blue peak is only twice as intense as its remaining VIS-NIR spectrum.
This LED is especially designed for a variety of vision applications, such as spectroscopy, in the life sciences, medical, scientific, and industrial sectors that require stable illumination at specific wavelengths and/or radiant powers
