Teledyne DALSA Launches New 3D Software Tool

Teledyne DALSA has launched a new 3D software tool, Z-Trak 3D Apps  Studio. Developed for working with Teledyne DALSA’s Z-Trak line of laser profilers, the software is designed to simplify 3D measurement and inspection tasks on production lines. The software suite includes tools for defect inspection on flat, curved, round, or extruded parts; measuring 3D thickness; 3D bead profiling that provides dimension and location data; and reflection elimination. The software can acquire and process 2D and 3D scans at the same time and preserves data integrity when working with multiple sensors.

Z-Trak 3D Apps Studio is designed for machine vision applications utilizing 3D imaging data, especially for factory automation tasks like inspections across a variety of industries, including automotive/EV, electronics, semiconductors, packaging, logistics, lumber, and metal fabrication.
