Keyence has announced the release of the new VHX-500 digital microscope, which is able to instantly capture any area without the need for the user to adjust the focus. The VHX-500 is equipped with a CMOS camera capable of capturing images at 50 fps which enables the microscope to provide fully-focused images in as little as one second. The microscope also features a magnification range from 0.1x - 5000x, a high dynamic range algorithm, built-in 500 GB HDD, and XY and Z axes controls for adjusting position and focus. In addition, the VHX-500 is able to make dimensional measurements directly on the screen by clicking the area to be measured with the mouse, and measurement data is stored with the image file.
