Touted by OmniVision as the world’s first medical image sensor to provide 1280 x 800 resolution in a 2.5 x 1.5 mm package, the OH01A CMOS image sensor features the PureCel Plus-S stacked-die architecture to provide the compact size, high resolution and cost effectiveness required for the next generation of disposable and reusable endoscopes and catheters, according to the company.
The 1 MPixel color image sensor is in a 1/11-inch format with a 1.116 µm pixel size and raw data output. The sensor offers 1280 x 800 resolution, which can be resized to 720p for HD (16:9 aspect ratio) or 800 x 800 for square displays, with both modes operating at 60 fps.
