LED light uses current source driver
OCTOBER 19, 2009--The SL112, a high-brightness LED spotlight, is intended to replace fiberoptic bundles and fiber light pipes used with optical microscopes and high-magnification video lenses. Specifically designed to fit the coaxial port of a microscope, the light has a nose-piece diameter of 8 mm (with a maximum barrel diameter of 25 mm) and overall length of 55 mm. The standard model SL112-WHIIC white light incorporates an inline current source (iCS) driver in the power cable to provide stable current levels to the light and offer manual intensity control, as well as external control of the gating feature for the light. The SL112 can be built in a range of wavelengths, including red (625 nm), blue (470 nm), green (530 nm), amber (590 nm), and infrared (850 nm).

Ai's Mini High-Brightness Microscope Spot Light
Advanced illumination (Ai) introduces the SL112, a high-brightness LED spot light intended to replace fiber optic bundles and fiber light pipes used with optical microscopes and high magnification video lenses. Specifically designed to fit the coaxial port of a microscope, the SL112 has a nose-piece diameter of 8mm (with a maximum barrel diameter of 25mm) and overall length of 55mm.
The standard model SL112-WHIIC is a white light that incorporates an Inline Current Source (iCS) driver in the light's power cable. The iCS provides stable current levels to the light, and offers manual intensity control, as well as external control of the gating feature for the light. The SL112 housing features efficient thermal management for extended LED life, and can be built with a variety of power options and in a range of wavelengths, including red (625nm), blue (470nm), green (530nm), amber (590nm) and infra-red (850nm), available in two weeks.
The SL112 can also be used as a traditional spot light with the addition of the LN112-30 focusing lens (optional). Other adapter lenses are available through third-party vendors.
