MAY 1--Visionics Corporation (Minnetonka, MN, and Jersey City, NJ; www.visionics.com) has received orders from the US Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) Office of Inspections for 31 TENPRINTER 1133S live-scan fingerprint systems. The value of this order, including first-year maintenance, is approximately $1.35 million. The company anticipates completion of this order by the end of this quarter.
Visionics TENPRINTER 1133S is an integrated live-scan management system that captures, prints, and transmits fingerprints electronically. The INS Office of Inspection, which is responsible for processing applicants passing through immigration, uses the system to capture fingerprint images for search against the FBI Integrated Automated Fingerprint Identification System database.
